Overton House in Loch Lomond

Overton House was built in 1859 by James Smith. The estate was passed to John Campbell White the first Lord Overton and presented to the people of Dumbarton in 1939 by his nephew Dr J Douglas White. Although the house is not currently occupied the grounds are open to the public. The walks and picnic areas offering spectacular views make this an ideal location for the tourist.
