The Tollhouse has been on the present site for approx four hundred years. Queen Victoria, we are told from a reliable source, stopped hear to pay her toll!

The house is situated between two lochs,Loch Lomond which is the largest fresh water loch in Scotland and Loch Long which is a sea loch. The mountain in front of the house is Ben Rioch and a good view of Ben Lomond can be seen from the car park and dining room.

Behind the house runs the famous West Highland Railway, popular with railway enthusiasts. The trains are infrequent but the the night sleeper can be heared on its journey to and from the highlands to London.
