Use Shantron as a base while you go to Inveraray, Stirling to see the Wallace Monument and Castle, Aberfoyle - the Sheep and Wool Centre and the magnificent scenery of the Trossachs where on Loch Katrine journey on the SS Sir Walter Scott, Glasgow. There are many good eating places within an 8 mile radius of the Farm. You can relax in the spacious garden and enjoy our long summer evenings watching the world go by as the setting sun reflects on the hills beyond. You can explore the different walking areas on the farm - a short walk to the tip of Shantron Hill, a gentle stroll up the Glen Road to the Finlas Reservoir or a 10 mile ridge walk round the farm. Discover our rich and varied past - the site of an Iron Age Fort, a 100ft deep gorge where a Colquhoun leapt to safety from the MacGregors after the battle of Glen Fruin, cup and ring marked stone from the time of the Druids.
