Strone Cottage is situated in a delightful setting at the head of historic Glen Fruin. The Gareloch is just over the hill, running down to the conservation village of Rhu and on to the small town of Helensburgh, 30 miles from Glasgow, and only 45 minutes from its international airport. The capital city of Edinburgh is less than two hour’s drive away, with ancient, magnificent, castles there and at Stirling, Inverary and Culzean. Loch Lomond is at the end of Glen Fruin and the road through the Glen offers spectacular views of this most famous loch (voted recently the best scenic drive in Scotland).
