Tolsta is the upper flat of a detached late Victorian stone built villa situated on the north shore of the River Clyde at its junction with the Gareloch. It enjoys panoramic views across the river to the Renfrewshire hills, the Rosneath peninsula and the Cowal peninsula.
The flat overlooks the now disused Craigendoran pier which in its heyday was the terminus for the Clyde paddle steamers. It now attracts a diverse seabird population.
There is direct access from the front of the house on to the rocky foreshore.
The house is named after a small township in the Outer Hebridean island of Lewis where Gaelic is still used in everyday conversation.
Helensburgh town centre, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, the historic town of Dumbarton, and the City of Glasgow are all easily accessible by road and by public transport. So, whether you are in the area for a relaxing holiday, to explore the delightful West of Scotland or to visit friends and relatives at the nearby Faslane Naval Base, you are guaranteed a warm Scottish welcome and individual attention.
